City of Duarte issued the following announcement on Dec. 15
As part of Duarte's Energy Conservation Program, the City is replacing all City-owned high-pressure-sodium-vapor (HPSV) bulbs with efficient, long-lasting light-emitting diode (LED) fixtures over the next month. Replacing HPSV bulbs with LED fixtures reduces monthly energy costs significantly. Also, using less energy per light reduces greenhouse gas emissions and helps cities reach its long-term energy goals. Earlier in the year, all SCE owned street lights were converted to LED.
You may see licensed electricians replacing street lights throughout the day or night over the next few weeks. Please be patient as we fine-tune the light levels throughout our community as the installation progresses. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Public Works at (626) 357-7931 Ext. 233.
