City of Glendora issued the following announcement on Nov. 2

Opera Talks - Composer Joseph Bologne / November 16, 6:30 p.m. via Zoom

Join  the library and Ray Busmann of the LA Opera Speaker’s Bureau for a Zoom presentation about Joseph Bologne, an often overlooked composer-- He inspired Mozart, commissioned Haydn, was a fencer and violinist, and also led troops  in the French Revolution. He is also known as the first Black classical composer in history!  Mark your calendars for Monday, November 16th, at 6:30PM. Join us here: https://zoom.us/j/94119264267

For those who would like some background before the talk, the production of Bologne’s most well-known work, The Anonymous Lover, will be streamed by the LA Opera on November 14th.
