On Friday, March 6, Mya Williams, a former Bishop Amat Memorial High School star, helped lead her current college team, the Smith Pioneers, to a 73-55 victory over the Union Garnet Chargers during the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.
The contest, held at Alumni Gymnasium at 4:45 p.m., marked the Smith Pioneers’ first game against the Union Garnet Chargers in the tournament.
Smith Pioneers are scheduled to play again on Saturday, March 7, at 7:15 p.m. at Alumni Gymnasium.
